Lighting up the streets with events, nostalgic moments, and unique after-dark experiences.
Kings Cross shines in November with Light Up The Cross - a District-wide celebration by Kings Cross Quarter (KXQ), bringing together more than 50 venues, operators and creatives under one banner.
The month-long campaign kicks off on Saturday 1 November, aligning with the City of Sydney's Sydney Streets on Macleay Street festival from 11am to 8pm.
Building on the day’s momentum, the Light Up The Cross launch from 8pm–midnight at Pelicano will follow that evening - a red-carpet celebration featuring media, influencers, content creators and live entertainment, uniting more than 50 local venues and operators to showcase the precinct’s nightlife and hospitality scene.
Across the following five weekends, there are plenty of ways for visitors to get involved in the action this year - from stopping by favourite locals to discovering new gems across the precinct:
Each week, a different pocket of Kings Cross will come alive with pop-ups, performances and special events. Attendees can check out what’s happening nearby or plan a night out to explore somewhere new.
The precinct will host special collaborations, themed nights and one-off experiences created just for Light Up The Cross – from rooftop parties and live music to exclusive dining moments.
Installations, projections and activations will light up the streets throughout the month. Visitors are encouraged to share their favourite moments on social media using #LightUpTheCross.
Every venue, creative and small business involved helps showcase the vibrant heart of Kings Cross. By getting involved, audiences can help celebrate and support the people powering Sydney’s 24-hour city.
The spotlight will move through different streets and pockets of the precinct, creating a rolling campaign of stories, activations and content designed to boost foot traffic, showcase small businesses, and reposition Kings Cross as one of Sydney’s most exciting 24-hour destinations!
