Seeking submissions from individuals, businesses and community groups on their views regarding priorities for the 2026-27 NSW Budget.
)
Open for submissions until 5pm AEDT, Monday 22 December 2025.
The 2026–27 NSW Budget will be delivered in June 2026.
The NSW Government is seeking feedback to help deliver on key wellbeing themes while maintaining its commitment to responsible budget management.
The most recent 2025–26 NSW Budget showed that the budget is improving due to a measured and responsible approach to fiscal management. Any new spending that is not offset by revenue or savings measures is likely to impact this progress. Consequently, the 2026–27 NSW Budget will continue to focus on the reprioritisation of existing budgets.
The NSW Government invites individuals, businesses and community groups to provide their views regarding priorities for the 2026–27 NSW Budget.
Submissions may consider the following:
What the NSW Government is doing well and should continue.
Areas where the NSW Government is not performing effectively.
Work that the NSW Government could pause or deprioritise.
Potential ways the NSW Government could raise funds to support service delivery and infrastructure.
The submission form includes areas for free-text responses. For consistent analysis, respondents are encouraged to summarise key points in the spaces provided, rather than referring directly to attachments or entering “N/A.”
Submissions will be accepted until 5pm, Monday, 22 December 2025. This timeframe allows the NSW Government sufficient opportunity to consider feedback during budget preparations.
Lodge your submission on the 2026-27 Budget: Pre-Budget submission page on the Have Your Say website.
Your submission will be forwarded to the relevant portfolio Minister(s) and agencies. NSW Treasury will not be providing individual responses to submissions. The closing date of 5pm, Monday 22 December 2025 has been selected to allow consideration of submitted proposals in the lead-up to the 2026-27 Budget.
