The NSW Government is seeking feedback on the proposed Community Improvement Districts Amendment Regulation 2025
The Community Improvement Districts Act 2025 (the CID Act) was passed by the NSW Parliament in early May 2025. The Act provides for the establishment and operation of CIDs in NSW. You can find more information on the CID legislation here.
Amendments to the CID Regulation are now being proposed (the CID Amendment Regulation), and the NSW Government is inviting feedback. In particular, feedback is sought on:
Whether the CID Amendment Regulation addresses key matters related to the establishment and operation of a CID; and
What further amendments should be made to the CID Amendment Regulation.
The draft CID Amendment Regulation and Guide to Policy and Regulatory Impact Statement are available to download.
