Be part of North Sydney Streets: a one-day event filled with entertainment, music, food and creativity.
)
Sunday 16 November 2025, 12pm to 5pm
Burton Street from Broughton Street to Humphrey Place, Bligh Street from Broughton Street to Humphrey Place and the Burton Street (car park and tunnel area) from Alfred Street to Broughton Street.
Local businesses, artists and groups are invited to help transform our streets into vibrant hubs of music, food and creativity this summer.
This summer, our streets will come alive with North Sydney Streets - a series of one-day community events that turn key locations into pedestrian-friendly zones filled with entertainment, music, food and creativity.
Whether you're a business looking to activate your shopfront, an artist ready to perform, or a community group wanting to connect with locals, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
How you can activate your space:
Host live music or performances
Run workshops or product demos
Hold book readings or art exhibitions
Offer exclusive in-store promotions or pop-up deals
Collaborate with local artists or creatives
You’re welcome to use the footpath outside your business for displays or activities - no extra permit needed, subject to guidelines.
There are two ways to get involved:
Option A: Got a great idea?
Tell us what you’re planning - Council may provide up to $500 in funding to help make it happen.
Option B: Need help with ideas?
Let us know you’re interested, and we’ll help match you with a performer, artist or concept to activate your space.
Are you a local performer, artist or community group? We’re looking for creative acts to bring energy and surprise to our North Sydney Streets events.
We’re not using a main stage - instead, we’re looking for roving performances and interactive activities that move through the event space. Think music, dance, live art, circus, cultural performances and more.
You must live or work in the North Sydney Local Government Area.
All content must be suitable for a general public audience.
Political, religious or offensive material won’t be accepted.
Please be advised that all event times and locations are subject to change.
Please check the North Sydney Council website for latest info and to apply.
North Sydney Streets is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW.
