The Permit/Plug/Play Program offers funding of up to $500,000 for councils to streamline approval processes and internal workflows and invest in enabling place infrastructure to reduce the cost and complexity of delivering street-based events.
To be considered, project proposals should:
Identify street locations (two at a minimum) for delivery, that are:
Local street/s (owned by council),
Situated in a strategic location, urban centre or town centre, and
Accessible to community via public transport.
Include plans for new process development or process improvements that enable a simplified approach to temporary road-closures for street-based events.
Include plans to evaluate impact of proposed process improvements and enabling place infrastructure through delivery of a street-based event that is accessible via public transport and involves the temporary closure of a street or streets to vehicles.
Eligibility
Applications are open to all NSW councils, the Lord Howe Island Board, and the Unincorporated Far West Region.
