Seeking expressions of interest for grants from $500 - $5000 for pop up events during Lunar New Year 2026

Lunar New Year marks the beginning of a new year on lunar calendars, and is celebrated by Central and South-East Asian diaspora all over the world. Inner West Council is calling for applications from local community groups, businesses and artists to host activities for the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival in Ashfield and Marrickville.
Council is offering grants between $500 - $5000 excluding GST for activities that encourage connection and engagement with the local community between 17 February and 3 March 2026.
Events may include:
small to medium scale live performances
parades
workshops
discussions
exhibitions
talks
community gatherings or
local markets.
