Applications are now open for artists and performers to be part of the 2026 Sydney Comedy Festival, running from Monday 13 April to Sunday 17 May 2026 (children’s programming runs 13–19 April).
The Sydney Comedy Festival has operated since 2005 produced and presented a multi- disciplined program of comedy that has both celebrated the art and all of its forms and inspired the growth and development of comedic artists that have gone on to excel in a variety of forums including media, stage, TV and film.
This is an opportunity to perform in front of diverse audiences and gain exposure at one of the country’s premier comedy festivals.
The Sydney Comedy Festival operates on a curated model, meaning that only a limited number of shows are selected and programmed each year. This approach ensures a high-quality and diverse line-up, with each act carefully considered for its fit within the overall Festival program.

Please note that applications close at 5:00pm AEDT on Friday 19 December 2025.
Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Festival team. If your show is successful, they will be in touch with a proposed venue and run.
