A social events & ticketing platform to reconnect the world

Gather is a social events platform created in response to our current platforms decaying in effectiveness and ethics. Gather's mission is connection, with ticketing as the revenue model to sustain the social digital infrastructure we all need. We think that in 2026 it should be easy for people to find each other and what is happening around them. We also want to support the people doing the hard mahi of connection - venues, promoters, organisers, artists, festival organisers, community groups - and make their (your!) lives easier in every way we can within the challenging conditions of our industry ecosystem.
As such, Gather in itself is a multi layered ecosystem, uniting:
Pages: every band, venue, promotor, artist, collective, etc can create a page in Gather where followers can subscribe to get notified about events. Think social media following but without the social media, just events. You can build your loyal audience straight into Gather, and are able to link out to your website/ soundcloud/ socials/ linktree etc if desired e.g. https://gather.rsvp/thebuttonfactory
Private event invitations: facebook event style. Here is an example: https://gather.rsvp/wbe8t36 - when you hit RSVP it will show up on your homepage. Now we are mutuals and can invite each other to other things directly in Gather via text message. Invitations also show up on the homepage.
Memberships: Gather has been building bespoke events-based membership infrastructure which is relevant to venues and organisations and could extend to music collectives and individual artists - like Patreon designed for our sector. Example: https://gather.rsvp/example/join/membership.
Ticketing: Gather has created an easy, streamlined ticketing experience for both organisers and attendees. Specifically designed to save time and effort in admin so that creators can focus on creating. We are working directly with promoters, festival organisers, venues, etc to understand the needs of this sector and properly meet them.
Ticketing provides the revenue model for keeping the lights on for our social infrastructure; the only way Gather sustains itself is by helping you sell tickets and getting people off their phones and into rooms, so the mission of connection is baked into the business model.
Discovery: One of the biggest pieces of the puzzle, currently in beta gather.rsvp/discover
For the user: browsing events happening near you, or wherever you're going next week, via a map. Easily filtering for specific areas of interest. Everything in the arts - music, cinema, theatre, workshops, community, etc. Recommendations for things you'll like, your friend's birthday RSVP, tickets to your favourite band, a reminder of that show in December, and the poetry group down the road you never knew existed, all in one place.
For the promoter: Gather will take your event from wherever it is publicly listed e.g. ticketing platform, venue website, already in Gather, and add it in. No added work for you. Instead of an advertising model, Gather will (anonymously) use the organic relationships between people to show them things they'll like based on people they share taste with. The more people interact with the Gather ecosystem (private and ticketed events, pages, listings etc) the better this gets for everyone. Artists will no longer have to throw money at meta and pray in order to fill a room. This will be a game changer for the events industry and will rely on critical mass awareness of Gather as a comprehensive gig guide.
If you have stayed with me until the end of this read, thank you, we appreciate you!!! We would love to chat more about the work you are doing and how we can support you in it. Please get in touch.
