Mandylights is Australia’s only end-to-end lighting and visual design and production company. We create outstanding light-based experiences ranging from creative site lighting to completely bespoke immersive light art trails in forests, car parks or anywhere you can dream up. We have a catalogue of existing and bespoke internationally known light artworks, and specialise in engaging with community and First Nations artists to create outstanding local, site-specific works.
Far more than a production company, Mandylights thrives on meaningful creative development and spectacular technical delivery that creates memorable experiences at any scale.
Mandylights has extensive experience working with local and state governments to create amazing, immersive light environments - from our work on the Harbour Bridge at Vivid Sydney through to local projects in communities around the state - we're enthusiastic and passionate about any sized project, and love working with local communities to develop meaningful, long-term relationships that grow festivals and events year on year.
Our projects team have significant government and private sector experience, backed by comprehensive data from our projects that demonstrate outstanding ROI, hotel night sales and other tourism data.
In Australia, we ideated and delivered the Moama Lights - an immersive light trail on the Murray River which ran successfully for four years in partnership with the Murray River Council. We're also behind the spectacular installations at Wagga Wagga's Festival of W, Narrabri's remarkable Narrabright Festival and have illuminated Floriade NightFest in Canberra every year since 2010. In Sydney, we designed and delivered a precinct wide neon takover of Chinatown and created the spectacular George Street Wreaths that lined the CBD rail corridor for two years. We also created an carpark-based playground for the City of Frankston's South Side Festival, and took over Sydney's Wynyard Tunnels for two years of our award-winning Dark Spectrum project at Vivid Sydney.
We work extensively with agencies including Destination NSW, Transport for NSW and other state government groups on night time economy projects, and have a passion for reimagining what underused urban and rural places can become with the addition of light.
Mandylights has delivered large scale lighting projects in over sixty five countries around the world, and works with leading international artists including Calvin Harris, the Backstreet Boys, RAYE, PNAU, Sienna Spiro, Jade and Ricky Martin. Our artworks and light trails can be seen in Kew Gardens, London, at the Beijing Chaoyang Light Festival and others. In Australia, we've also created permanent light show experiences in Sunrise Journeys at Uluru, the Devonport Light show in Tasmania and in Todd Mall in Alice Springs.
The Mandylights team includes designers, project managers, technicians and production managers - making Mandylights the leading supplier of sitewide creative, artworks and night time immersive experiences.
