Good Decisions is a creative studio crafting bold, art-led design across brand and experience.
Good Decisions is an independent creative studio founded by Lachlan Bruce and Rohan Carter, located in Sydney’s inner west. Established with a vision to blend strong conceptual thinking with hands-on execution, the studio delivers original, art-led creative work across brand, digital, print, motion and experience. From early-stage ideation through to rollout and activation, Good Decisions partners with clients to create clear, compelling work that connects meaningfully with audiences and leaves a lasting impression.
The studio offers a full suite of creative services across brand identity, packaging, campaign development, merchandise, publishing, websites, digital experiences, motion design and event activations. Equally at home building a brand from the ground up or refreshing an existing identity, the team applies the same level of curiosity and craft to every project. In-house illustration, conceptual development and 3D rendering are central to the studio’s approach, allowing for a seamless visualisation of ideas across physical and digital applications.
Good Decisions also produces original video and photographic content, from campaign shoots to content libraries, social assets and event recaps. The studio collaborates with a trusted network of directors, cinematographers, editors, stylists and photographers, with creative direction and production managed in-house to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes that align with the wider brand strategy.
Recent work includes the full brand development for the Newtown and Enmore precinct in partnership with Inner West Council, including the design and rollout of a new precinct identity, marketing campaign assets and a custom lifestyle and culture magazine. This project combined strategic brand thinking, typographic and illustrative development, photography and editorial design to create a cohesive and memorable presence for the precinct, with community storytelling and local business support at its heart.
Good Decisions is also known for its experience in event design, developing large-scale brand activations that merge creativity and practicality. The studio has delivered work for leading cultural institutions and corporate clients, covering everything from visual identity and spatial design to on-screen motion graphics, signage and interactive installations. With strong production knowledge and experience collaborating across disciplines, the team ensures that every detail, from a printed lanyard to a 20-metre LED screen, aligns with the creative vision.
The studio’s strength lies in its ability to move fluidly between disciplines. By combining strategy, storytelling, design and production, Good Decisions builds integrated brand systems that function beautifully across every touchpoint, from a business card to a billboard, an Instagram tile to an immersive event. They also bring a flexible, collaborative mindset, working closely with clients and their extended teams to tailor every output to the needs of the brand and audience.
Good Decisions is proudly independent, intentionally small and highly responsive. As a studio, they value originality over trend, depth over surface and people over process. With a strong grounding in visual design and a genuine passion for storytelling, the team takes pride in crafting work that is distinctive, intelligent and impactful.
Whether designing a record sleeve, producing a short film, building a digital brand experience or creating a community-led campaign, Good Decisions brings creative integrity and technical skill to every project. With a commitment to good ideas, good people and good outcomes, the studio continues to build a portfolio defined by clarity, character and care.
