Connect with district
Sophie Forbat
District Coordinator
Randwick City Council acknowledges the Bidjigal and Gadigal Clans, who traditionally occupied this area of the Sydney Coast, and pays respects to Elders past and present.
A new hyper-connected District aligns thriving nostalgic streets with a transforming education and health campus and an outstanding new neighbourhood.
See a classic or new release at the heritage-listed Ritz Cinema, enjoy local bars and hospitality at The Spot, then follow dramatic new art installations that connect down to the five-hectare Newmarket development with its impressive café and dining precinct.
Participate in creative-led programs and events, reactivating heritage buildings and community streets, that bring together diverse constellations of locals, workers and visitors. It’s all part of a luminary vision encouraging discovery and dwell across the District’s network of night-time attractions.
Every Wednesday this June, the Winter Wednesdays Art Series takes art out of the gallery and places it in much-loved Randwick locations for the whole community to enjoy.
