Fairfield City: A Hub of Culture and Celebration
With a vibrant calendar of events, Fairfield City draws visitors from across Sydney to experience the rich cultural diversity of our community. From traditional festivals to large-scale celebrations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Cabramatta Lunar New Year
Held in the Cabramatta Town Centre, this family-friendly event welcomed over 10,000 attendees in 2025. It showcased Southeast Asian culture through exciting rides, kids' activities, local food, and traditional lion dances, ending with a spectacular fireworks finale.
Cabramatta Moon Festival
On September 8, 2024, the Cabramatta Moon Festival brought tens of thousands together for one of the largest Mid-Autumn celebrations in the country. Highlights included lion dances, cooking demos, cultural performances, and street food that lit up the town with festive energy.
Illuminate NYE
Held annually at Fairfield Showground, Illuminate NYE attracts over 15,000 attendees. This spectacular New Year’s Eve event features fireworks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities, offering the perfect way to ring in the new year with community spirit.
Bring It On! Youth Festival
A signature Youth Week event for ages 12–24, Bring It On! is one of NSW’s largest youth-led festivals, attracting up to 5,000 participants annually. It celebrates young local talent through music, dance, art, and culture, and includes rides, games, food trucks, and more — all curated by young people of Fairfield City.
