The City of Sydney invites restaurants, community groups and local businesses to take part in the 2026 Sydney Lunar Festival.
Submit your event or special offer to be part of our associated events program. You'll be part of an event with a national and international audience and receive a marketing tool kit.
Previous events have included special dishes and meals at local restaurants, workshops, talks, exhibitions and performances.
Sydney Lunar Festival will take place from Saturday 14 February to Sunday 1 March 2026. Now in its 30th year, the festival has become the largest celebration of the Lunar New Year outside Asia.

Sydney Lunar Festival editorial articles on our What’s On website
our weekly What’s On newsletter in February with more than 33,000 subscribers
Facebook and Instagram posts.
Listing an event on What’s On doesn’t guarantee inclusion in the program. If you list your event to What’s On and aren’t accepted to the associated events program, we may not include your event in our marketing opportunities.
To be part of the program your event must:
take place from 14 February to 1 March 2026
celebrate the Year of the Horse and
be open to the general public.
Associated event organisers must accept the terms and conditions.
Acceptance into the associated events program is at our discretion.
We don’t fund associated events.

Complete the application form
Once you hear from us, we’ll provide you with the official Sydney Lunar Festival marketing tool kit.
If you took part in Sydney Lunar Festival 2025 and already have a What’s On listing for the same event, please update this instead of creating a new one.
We’ll incorporate your event into the Sydney Lunar Festival webpage and where appropriate use the details from your listing to feature on marketing materials.
