Offering cultural precincts, eat streets and live music to explore.
The Inner West has a lot to offer visitors with our cultural precincts and their eat streets, live music venues, events, theatres, heritage pubs, ale trails, galleries and studios run by independent designers with an artesian culture to discover. Often attractions are within a walkable precinct and close to each other.
Inner West was the first local government area to secure a Special Entertainment Precinct for Enmore and are expanding this to six other locations. The Special Entertainment Precinct comes to life after dark catering for a wide range of visitor needs.
Marrickville has become the fourth precinct in Sydney to secure Purple Flag accreditation which is recognised by international visitors for meeting high standards of vibrancy, diversity and safety at night.
The Inner West is the cultural capital of NSW. It is home to the highest number of residents employed in cultural industries, is a hub of small-to-medium live music venues and art spaces including a large outdoor street art gallery, with over 150 site specific works to discover.
