Ravi’s sitar playing reflects a mix of his Guyanese heritage, Indian roots, and Australian upbringing. Growing up around a blend of cultures, he developed an appreciation for the rhythms, sounds, and stories that shaped his family’s background.
Ravi has been playing sitar since 2020, and he’s especially interested in using the instrument outside of traditional contexts, experimenting with contemporary genres and seeing how the sitar can complement other talented singers and musicians who have been gracious enough to collaborate with him.
